Saturday

How is your Saturday?

Is it a recovery day after a late Friday night? A day for housework, watering plants, diving into a hobby you love, spending time with family, going out with friends—or simply another workday that looks exactly like the rest? Maybe it’s even busier than your weekdays.

Right now, I love my Saturdays. It’s the day Kate and I look forward to every week. We go out for something delicious, wander around, then come home and ease into our own corners of comfort. I watch some movies; she cooks dinner. We enjoy simple things and talk about whatever comes to mind.

I’ve come to realise that the way we spend our Saturdays says a lot about the rhythm of our lives. These days, my Saturdays are for rest. But there were years when Saturdays were for building new opportunities—side projects alongside my full-time job, learning design, exploring topics I was curious about. I know I’ll have seasons of restful Saturdays and seasons of hard-working Saturdays again.

Sometimes, if you want to know where you are in life, looking at how you spend your Saturday might be a surprisingly good place to start.

So—what does your Saturday say about you?
