Hackathon—UI/UX Design and brand identity that builds within 48 hours in a team of 7 peoples
Brand Identity · UI/UX Design
Fitlancer is a hackathon project at Freelancer.com. The purpose of the hackathon was purely about growth hack. While most people aiming to impact the revenue, we strive to impact everyone life (life that generates the revenue). We've made a whole fitness dashboard product from brand identity into finishing digital product that improves everyone life, and we make it within 48 hours.
We already have countless of monitor around the office, and that gave a clue where Fitlancer will be displayed. We knew that Freelancer.com is the data-driven company and a dashboard lover, so we build the branding around that matter.
We only got 7 people on our team (which all nerd) and only 1 designer who tries to survive from a thunderstorm of things to be done within 48 hours. So we simply get started by sat down together and bounce the idea of our Maximum Value Product that we can Minimum Viable Product (MVP). As a designer, I've used a lot of my personal design library to speed up the process.
We have interviewed our Personal Trainer (Yes! Freelancer.com is cool enough to have an in-house PT) and got lots of insightful information that we can plot into a modular. We've made a whole product fluid on any screen/devices so we can display it everywhere in the office.
Of course, its transparency and easy for everyone to access the dashboard and inspire each other to stay firm but we also consider that most of the information might be sensitive (especially for the lady).
Fitlancer is very simple but effective, we got everyone profile from Pingboard API and hook up the Gmail, which this means we acquire everyone in our company to kick start with Fitlancer Dashboards!
And this early version we offering features includes: (1.) Dashboard, (2.) Leaderboard, (3.) Calendar, and (4.) Notifications.
Fitlancer was intentionally made for our friend and colleague, We aim to make our friends stay healthy physically and mentality. It seem like what goes around comes around, people love us and vote for us to win the second prize for this hackathon and we also learn this along the way:
